Description

Bole Bent Farmhouse and the attached barn are two-handed houses and a laithe, built in the early 19th century, with the barn possibly dating to the late 18th century. The structure is made of hammer-dressed stone, featuring quoins at the rear, and has a stone slate roof, with the barn being lower than the farmhouse. The building stands two storeys high and has two central doors. To the right of the doors is a 4-light window, and to the left is a 3-light window. Each dwelling has two 3-light windows on the first floor, with one light blocked in each window. The laithe includes a large central cart entrance with a shallow arched head and a mistal door to the left. There is a lean-to extension on each gable.
