Description

Slacks Farm is a late 18th-century former house and barn combined into a single range. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins, and has a pitched stone slate roof. The south-east elevation shows the former house section with an 8-light stone mullioned window on the ground floor, most of the lights now blocked. Above are two 3-light stone mullioned windows, one light blocked and one mullion removed from each. The barn section features a large central doorway with a stone surround and a deep lintel resting on rounded corbels, with a small vent above. A smaller doorway is also present, featuring a stone surround and tie-stones. The north-west elevation is largely hidden by modern lean-to extensions, while the south-west gable shows a further lean-to extension.
