Description
Lingards Cross Farm and Barn is a late 18th century to early 19th century building that combines a house and a barn in one range. The house is rendered with quoins, while the barn is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a pitched stone slate roof, along with footstones. The structure is two storeys tall.
On the south elevation of the house, the ground floor includes an entrance and a six-light stone mullioned window with a king mullion, although one mullion has been removed. The first floor has a three-light stone mullioned window and a two-light stone mullioned window. The east gable features a single-storey extension with a pitched stone slate roof. The north elevation of the house has a first-floor two-light stone mullioned window that has been altered.
The barn's south elevation has a large central doorway with a semi-circular arched head and a small single light window above it. There are also two small entrances and another single light window. The north elevation of the barn has a former large opening with a semi-circular arched head that has been partially blocked to create a small doorway.
