Description
This building is a mill located to the rear of Jumps, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of watershot masonry and has a replaced corrugated iron roof. The mill stands three storeys high and features three bays of semi-circular arches that are open in the center on the ground floor. There is a band running along the building. Above this, there are three bays of windows with plain stone surrounds and heavy lintels. To the right, an additional three bays include a cottage doorway with sill ties, a 2-light flat-faced mullioned window to the left, and a 3-light window to the right. Above these, there are three bays of large windows linked by tie-stones, all with projecting sills. The building has gutter brackets and a lean-to on the right with a semi-circular arched entry. Between the entry and the lean-to, there is a full-height cast iron water wheel (overshot) that is still intact.
