Description
This is a milestone located to the north of the entrance to Scaitcliffe Hall, dating from the early 19th century. The stone has a single arch head and features inscriptions that read: "TO TODMORDEN 1 MILE" with a hand pointing to the left, and "TO BURNLEY" with a hand pointing to the right, indicating a distance of 8¼ miles.
