Description
This is an early 18th-century house located on Whirlow Common, formerly known as Stoney Royd Lane in Todmorden. The house is constructed of large dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The south front features a doorway with monolithic jambs and double-chamfered mullioned windows. The ground floor has a window of 5 lights to the left, a window of 3 lights to the right, and a first-floor window of 4 lights. The first floor also has a chamfered mullioned window of 2 lights and a window of 4 lights. There are two stacks to the gables. Added cottages at either end are not of historical significance.
