Description
Greenhurst Hey Farmhouse and the attached barn were built in 1816. The farmhouse is constructed of dressed stone and features a slate roof. It stands two storeys high with a classical front, rusticated quoins, and a moulded cornice. The symmetrical facade has three bays, with a doorcase that includes pilasters, a cornice, and a pediment, featuring a six-panelled door and a fanlight above. On either side of the door, there are broad sash windows with plain stone surrounds. There are two dressed stacks on each gable. The barn, attached to the left side of the farmhouse, has semi-circular arched cart entries with a Venetian window above, which bears the date and initials 'I H'.
