Description
New House Farmhouse and barn is a late 18th-century building featuring a continuous roof. The structure is made of coursed gritstone rubble with quoins and has gritstone dressings. It is topped with a stone slate roof and has stone gable end stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high, double fronted, and consists of three bays. The central entrance has a 19th-century glazed and panelled door with a plain surround. On either side of the door, there are three-light flush mullion windows with 20th-century single pane casements. Above the door, there is a two-light flush mullion window, with similar windows on either side. Attached to the west is a stone barn that features regularly placed ventilation slits.
