Description

East Hey Head Farmhouse is a mid 18th century house with an attached barn added in the mid 19th century. The farmhouse features watershot masonry with ashlar quoins, while the barn is constructed from pitch faced stone and has a stone slate roof. The house is designed in a two-cell layout and stands two storeys tall. The south front includes double chamfered mullioned windows on the ground floor, consisting of four-light and five-light windows. The first floor also has chamfered mullioned windows, again with four lights and five lights. To the right of the farmhouse is a single storey extension that serves as the main entrance, featuring large tie-stones. The barn, added to the left end of the house, has a semi-circular arched cart entry and a rustic Venetian window above it. Both gables are coped with kneelers, and there are two stacks on each gable.
