Description
Highcliffe Farmhouse and the attached barn were built in 1811. The structure is made of rubble limestone, partly rendered, with gritstone dressings. The roofs are covered with Welsh slate and cement tiles, featuring stone ridge and gable stacks. The farmhouse has a double range plan and stands two storeys high.
On the south elevation, there is a central doorway with a lintel and quoins, featuring a 19th-century half-glazed door. The date "1811" is inscribed on the lintel. Flanking the doorway are two 2-light square section flush mullion windows, with two similar windows located above.
The barn is attached to the west of the farmhouse and is in an L-plan configuration. It has a segmental-arched cart entrance with plank doors, along with two doorways to the left and three square openings above. The return wall includes a doorway at ground level and external stone stairs leading to an upper doorway.
