Description
The Hall is a house built in the mid-18th century. It features coursed limestone with gritstone dressings, a stone slate roof, and stone coped gables with kneelers, a parapet on the east side, and banded ball finials. The building has stone gable end and ridge stacks and is designed in an L-plan.
The house is two storeys high, with the gable end facing the street having no windows. The east elevation consists of six bays, showcasing a chamfered plinth and quoins. A large, square stone porch with a hipped roof and banded ball finials projects from the front. To the left of the porch, there are two glazing bar sash windows in plain ashlar surrounds, while to the right, there are three similar windows. Above the porch, there is a Venetian window with a raised keystone. The upper part of the elevation features a moulded eaves band and a coped parapet.
Inside, the house is reported to have an oak staircase with turned balusters and a 17th-century fireplace from an earlier house.
