Description
Fiddle Wood Cottage and the cottage to the south are a pair of houses dating from the early to mid-19th century. They are built from coursed squared stone and have a stone slate roof. Each house is two storeys high, with the left cottage featuring a cellar, and both have two bays. The openings have plain stone surrounds, and the windows are fitted with flat-faced mullions.
Fiddle Wood Cottage, located on the right, has a 4-panel door flanked by two 2-light windows, with a single-light window to the far right. Above, there are two 2-light windows. The cottage features 20th-century 4-pane casements throughout. The neighbouring cottage has a basement with a single-light window, and on the ground floor, there is a 4-panel door to the right of two 2-light windows. There are also two 2-light windows above, all fitted with 4-pane casements. Both cottages have three ridge stacks.
