Description

Brookside House and Brookside Cottage is a former mill manager's house dating from the early to mid 19th century. It now serves as two residences. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a hipped stone slate roof. It is two storeys high. The northeast front has three bays, each with two-light flat faced mullioned sash windows, which retain 16-paned sashes on each floor, although these are modern replacements. There are two doorways with monolithic jambs, one of which is blocked. The building also has quoins and two stacks along the ridge, along with two additional stacks. The rear of the property has similar windows.
