Description

This is a house located on Soyland Town Road in Ripponden, built in the mid-18th century. Originally it comprised two single-cell cottages. The house is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with ashlar quoins and has a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high. Each side of the original pair of cottages features a doorway with monolithic jambs and an overlapping lintel. Above the doorway is a recessed mullioned window with two wide lights on each floor. The windows also have mullions. There are gutter brackets, and two stacks rise from the ridge of the roof.
