Description

This milestone, located opposite the drive entrance to Rycliffe, dates from the late 18th century. It is a small monolith featuring an arched top and two dressed faces. The left face is inscribed with "TO ROCHDALE" and the right face reads "HALIFAX 11 5 MILE."
