Description

Rose Cottage is a house that was built in 1719, as indicated by the initials and date inscribed on the building. It is constructed from thin coursed hammer dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The house has two storeys and consists of two cells, each with thin flat faced mullioned windows that have two lights. These windows are located on either side of paired doorways with monolithic jambs, although one doorway is blocked. On the first floor, there is a two-light window and a three-light window. The building has quoins, and the right-hand return wall displays a date stone in the gable, which may have been reused. Gable stacks are also present.
