Description
Lower Kebroyd is an attached barn with courtyard walls and a gateway, originating from the 17th century. It retains some double chamfered mullioned windows but was altered and extended in the early to mid-19th century to serve as a lodge for Kebroyd Hall. The building is constructed of hammer dressed stone and features a slate roof. It has a double pile design and is two storeys high, with quoins and twin gables at the front. Each floor has tall, three-light flat faced mullioned windows, while the window on the right has four lights, all fitted with leaded lights. The building is adorned with coping, kneelers, and ball finials. The rear wing includes a four-light double chamfered mullioned window on each floor and has two lateral stacks. Attached to the left end of the structure is a barn oriented at right angles, featuring a segmental arched cart entry at the front. The right return wall of the barn has a coped gable with ball finials. The barn's side walls are complemented by tall hammer dressed stone walls with corner turrets. The large entrance gateways have semi-circular arches, an expressed keystone, a hoodmould, and a triangular open pediment topped with a ball finial.
