Description

SOWERBY BRIDGE DEAN LANE SE 0421 & SE 0521 (south side, off) 18/52 Triangle Dean Mews GV II Carriage house and cottage with entrance to courtyard, new garage and house. Early C19. Coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. L-shaped, 2 storeys, 2 + 3 bays. Courtyard front: openings have plain stone surrounds, windows with projecting cills and C20 casements. Left range: keyed segmental arch (to garage) on left with window adjoining to right and C20 door further right; 2 windows above. Right range: tall segmental arch on right with 2-light window above. To its left on each floor a 2-light and 1-light window. Paired gutter brackets off table to both ranges; stack to left end of left range. Rear of right range: archway has rusticated pilasters; imposts and voussoirs. Part of a courtyard development. Included for group value.
