Description
Dean Farmhouse is a late 18th century to early 19th century building that combines a barn and cottages into one house. It is constructed from coursed squared stone and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays. The openings are framed with plain stone surrounds, and the windows are 20th century casements.
In the first bay, there is a segmental-arched cart entry with tie-stones, and a window above it with a projecting ledge. The second bay has a door with a former door to the right and two windows above. The third bay contains two 2-light windows, with two additional windows above. The fourth bay features a 2-light window and another window above. The building has plain gutter brackets and a ridge stack. It is part of a courtyard development and is included for its group value.
