Description

Two pairs of gate piers and a connecting wall at the front of the Church of St Bartholomew were built in 1868. The structure features lower hammer-dressed stone walls topped with ashlar copings. These walls are adorned with cast iron railings and are flanked by tall ashlar gate piers designed in the Gothic Revival style. Each pier has gablets on its faces, with a tympanum that includes carved decorations and is topped with a finial.
