Description

This building is a pair of cottages with a basement warehouse that now functions as a single residence. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of hammer dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The structure has three storeys and is divided into three bays. The first bay features a segmental arched cart entry with a dropped keystone. The second bay includes a stone staircase with cast iron railings leading to a first-floor landing, which has paired doorways with monolithic jambs. The outer bays contain two-light flat faced mullioned windows with projecting sills on each floor, although the glazing has been altered. The building has gable stacks, and the left-hand return wall is attached to Bridge End on Elland Road.
