Over the Bridge Restaurant 9/83 _

GV II

3 cottages now converted to form restaurant. Mid C18. Hammer dressed stone, ashlar quoins, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 3 bays. Central bay occupied by 3 doorways, the central of which shares the monolithic jambs of those to either side. Over to 1st floor is a 2-light flat faced mullioned window. Outer bays each have 4-light flat faced mullioned widows to both floors. Left hand return wall attached to Elland Road Bridge (q.v.), has gable stack. Rear has 4-light window either side of paired 2-light windows. Right hand return wall has inserted 1st floor doorway with outside stone stair, mid C20. This gable is within close proximity to Ripponden Old Bridge (q.v.).
