Description
This is a milestone from the mid 19th century located ¾ mile to the east of the junction with Turvin Road (B6138) on Halifax Road (A58) in Ripponden. The milestone is made of upright stone and features two angled faces. The left face is inscribed with "TO HALIFAX" and the right face reads "TO ROCHDALE 9 MILES."
