Description
Lench House, dated 1702, is a two-storey building with an attached barn dated 1705, which is now derelict. The structure is made of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The quoins indicate the division between the two-cell house and the barn.
The house has a double chamfered mullioned window with three lights, flanked by five-light windows on either side of the doorway. The doorway has composite jambs and a flat arched lintel inscribed "BY 1702 IB," with a chamfered surround. On the first floor, there are additional chamfered mullioned windows with three lights and four lights, although all windows are missing some or all of their mullions.
To the right, the barn includes a cart entry with a monolithic lintel supported by corbelled jambs. It also features an arched ventilator and a mistal doorway with an inscribed lintel reading "IAB 1705," decorated with a double tressure and a carved heart. The barn has two gable stacks and a coped gable with kneelers.
