Description

Hutch Royd Farmhouse is a late 18th-century laithe-house located on Long Causeway, Rishworth. The farmhouse is built of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The two-story, three-bay facade originally featured flat-faced mullioned windows of three lights, although these have been modernized. A gabled porch has been added where the farmhouse adjoins the attached barn. The barn has a semi-circular arched cart entry, above which is an arched window featuring lunettes on either side. A mistal doorway with monolithic jambs is situated to the right. The farmhouse has three stacks along the ridge.
