Description

This milestone, located opposite No. 2 East View on Cragg Road in Hebden Royd, was erected in 1826. It features an arch-headed stone that is overlaid with cast iron. The top of the milestone displays the names "MYTHOLMROYD" and "BLACKSTONE EDGE ROAD SOWERBY" and has two projecting faces. The left face indicates "ROCHDALE 10 MILES" and "HALIFAX 8.1/3 MILES," while the right face shows "MYTHOLM ROYD 2.1/3 MILES."
