Description
Black Hey Farmhouse is a house and cottage that now form a single dwelling, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys, with a single-cell cottage on the left side and a two-cell house on the right. The structure includes quoins, and each section has a doorway with monolithic jambs. Each cell and floor is fitted with a 3-light flat-faced mullioned window that has recessed mullions. The gables are coped, and there are two ashlar ridge stacks.
