Description

The guide post at the junction with Northwell Lane is likely from the early 19th century. It is a monolith with two dressed faces and a pointed cap. The east face is inscribed with "LEE TO WOOD RD. HEPTONSTALL" and features a hand pointing to the left. The north face is inscribed with "AND HEBDEN BRIDGE" and has a hand pointing to the right, along with a bench mark at the base.
