Description

This is a row of back-to-back cottages built in the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed of watershot masonry with dressed quoins, and have a stone slate roof. They are two storeys high. Each cottage has a doorway with tie-stone jambs and a window with two square lights. The upper floor windows are similar four-light windows with flat-faced mullions, except for number 11, which is an addition and contains two square windows that originally had two lights but are now lacking mullions. The rear of the cottages has similar window arrangements. A coped gable with kneelers and a chimney stack is present on numbers 11 and 12, which are built back-to-back. A further chimney stack is located on the centre of the roof ridge.
