Description
Northwell Cottage is a cottage built around 1800, constructed of watershot masonry with a stone slate roof. The building features quoins and stands three storeys tall. The south-east facing gable has two bays of three-light flat faced mullioned windows on both the ground floor and first floor. The second floor contains three flat faced mullioned windows with two lights. There is a blocked bullseye window at the apex. To the north-east, two additional bays were added, almost contemporaneously, featuring two bays of three-light windows on the first and second floors, and a two-light window on the second floor. The cottage has a cat-slide roof. The rear of the building is set back to the earth and includes a doorway to the first floor with tie-stone jambs, as well as a taking-in door at the apex, above which is a gable stack.
