This milestone, located 100 meters southwest of Sandy Clough in Barkisland, is likely from the mid-18th century. It is a monolith with two dressed faces. The left face features the inscription "TO," while the right face reads "TO XXXXXXXXXX ELLAND [probably Rochdale] 3 12 MILES."
