Description
The Triangle Barn, located adjacent to Dean Farmhouse and The Old, is a Grade II listed building dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with a stone slate roof and consists of three bays, with the left bay positioned behind The Old Dene. The barn features quoins on the right side and a central cart-entry that has monolithic corniced jambs and a keyed segmental arch. Above this entry, there is a four-light flat-faced mullion window. To the right, there is an inserted wide doorway with a former four-light window above it.
The rear of the barn displays quoins and an opposing quoined cart-entry with a keystone, along with two rectangular openings above. There is a mistal door at each end of the barn and round-arched vents. The left and right returns have round-arched vents, a gable owl hole, and the left return features a blocked central mistal door, while the right return has two blind four-light flat-faced mullion windows. Inside the left bay, there are stalls and mangers, supported by queen post roof trusses. This barn is part of a courtyard development.
