Description

This mid-18th century barn is constructed from coursed gritstone and features a graduated stone slate roof. It consists of two bays and has quoins at the corners. The central entrance has double doors that are hung from a timber beam and set beneath a cambered arch made of well-cut voussoirs, with quoined jambs. There is a byre door on the far left, framed by a quoined surround and topped with a chamfered lintel. To the right of the cart entrance, a square pitching door is located below the eaves, with a plain surround. The barn also has bulbous kneelers and gable copings. Inside, there is a collar-beam roof truss.
