Description

Saxelby House is a late 18th- to early 19th-century house. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with ashlar detailing, and has a graduated stone slate roof. The house features projecting quoins. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance has a panelled door with an overlight, set within an architrave with an entablature and cornice. Flanking the door are 16-pane sash windows in slightly projecting plain surrounds. The first floor has four-pane sash windows in similar surrounds, with a projecting sill band. An eaves band, shaped kneelers, gable copings, and end stacks are also present. The interior was not inspected during a resurvey.
