Description

This milestone, located 200 meters southwest of the junction with Turner Lane, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It features an arched stone base that is overlaid with cast iron, shaped in a triangular section. The lettering is in relief, with the top reading "BLACKBURN ADDINGHAM & COCKING END ROAD ADDINGHAM" on the left face and "KEIGHLEY ADDINGHAM 6¾ MILES 1 MILE BURNLEY ILKLEY 20 MILES 4¼ MILES" on the right face.
