Description
This milestone, located 200 meters north of Silsden Bridge, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It features a semi-circular arched stone structure that is overlaid with cast iron and has two angled faces. The lettering is in relief, with the top reading: "BLACKBURN ADDINGHAM & COCKING END ROAD SILSDEN." The left face indicates distances to Addingham and Keighley, while the right face shows distances to Ilkley and Burnley, specifically noting 4 miles, 3¾ miles, 7¼ miles, and 17 miles.
