Description

This is a 19th-century iron milestone located near Hey Farm. It is shaped like a triangular prism with a semi-circular top. The front of the milestone displays the words "Blackburn Addingham and Cocking End Road - Cowling." The left panel indicates distances to Colne (5 miles) and Burnley (11 miles), while the right panel shows distances to Keighley (8 1/4 miles), Addingham (10 miles), and Ilkley (13 1/4 miles).
