Description

This barn, likely built in the early to mid 18th century, is situated at right angles to Causeway Foot Farmhouse. It features rubble brought to course with dressed quoins and a stone slate roof. The barn has a segmental-arched cart entry with skewbacks and composite jambs. To the right, there is a mistal doorway at a lower level, and the right-hand return wall includes a similar doorway for the mistal along with breather holes. At the rear, there is a small lean-to with quoined angles, positioned to the left of a central doorway that also has composite jambs. The barn displays lines of breather holes throughout.
