Description
Brigfield House and Walker-Acre Cottage is a house that has been converted into two residences. It was built in the early 19th century, with a mid-19th century extension. The building features rendered stonework with ashlar dressings and a stone slate roof. It is three storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay facade that is double-depth. The facade includes raised quoins and window and door surrounds, as well as a plinth. The semicircular-arched doorway has a keystone, and there are tall rectangular windows with plain stone surrounds, which are shorter on the second floor. All windows have altered glazing. To the left of the main structure, there is an added bay with scattered fenestration. The building has gable stacks and one additional stack centrally placed on the ridge. At the rear, there is a centrally placed stair window that matches the details of the front doorway and retains small-paned glazing. The right-hand return wall features a small circular glazed wheel window on the second floor.
