Description

A row of three houses on Main Street, Addingham, built in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed of dressed stone with a stone slate roof. They are two storeys high and have raised quoins, along with moulded gutter brackets. There are six bays of windows, each with raised surrounds. The windows in bays 1, 2, 5, and 6 retain their original four-paned sashes. Number 40 has an altered bay window to the left of the doorway, featuring engaged Tuscan columns, an entablature decorated with urns, and an open pediment with a fanlight. The remaining doorways have monolithic jambs. The houses have coped gables with kneelers and stacks, with two further stacks to the ridge. The building has group value.
