Description
Nos 19 and 21 Spring Gardens are a pair of houses built around 1830-1840. They are two-storeys tall with a basement and feature a symmetrical front made of sandstone ashlar with four bays. The ground floor has horizontal grooving and a platband above it. There is a plain frieze beneath the projecting eaves cornice, and the roof is made of stone slate. The windows have revealed sashes, with the grooving struck in on the ground floor. The centrally grouped house doors are flanked by a passage entry and are adorned with Tuscan pilasters and an entablature, topped with a projecting cornice. The first floor windows above have architrave surrounds that extend to enclose shallow aprons below the sills. There are area railings present as well.
