Description

Wilton House is a villa built around 1830-1840. It is two storeys high and constructed of dressed sandstone that resembles brick. The building features a first-floor sill band and an eaves cornice that projects from a moulded bed. The roof is made of stone slate. The front of the house has three windows arranged symmetrically, with a central round-headed window on the first floor. There is a stone canted bay window that was added in the 19th century to the right-hand side of the ground floor. The entrance has a Doric engaged columned doorway with an entablature that includes a projecting cornice.
