Description

31 Houghton Place is a villa built around 1855-1860, located at the corner of Houghton Place and Hallfield Road. It is three storeys high and constructed from sandstone "brick" with ashlar dressings. The front features three bays with Italianate detailing. On either side of the central entrance, there are two-storey canted bay windows. The entrance itself has a Corinthian pilastered doorway adorned with scrolled acanthus leaf ornamentation on the frieze. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
