Description
No. 25 Hallfield Road is a villa built around 1855-1860, featuring Italianate architectural details. It has a broad, three-bay front made of sandstone, standing two stories high with a basement. The façade includes quoin pilasters and a central section that is pilastered and topped with a pediment. There are plat bands and sill bands, along with console brackets in the frieze that support the eaves cornice. The windows are revealed glazing bar sashes, with a tripartite arrangement on the first floor of the central bay. The entrance features a tripartite grouping of small archivolt arched sidelights and a large archivolt arched doorway, which is flanked by pilasters and leads to a flight of steps. The east return elevation also has three bays with quoin pilasters.
