Description

A pair of terraced houses dating from the 1820s to 1850s, located on the south side of London Road in Cheltenham. The houses are built with ashlar facing brick, and have a slate roof. They are three storeys high with a basement, and feature four windows on the first floor. The windows are mainly timber sashes; 6/6 sashes are original where present, while the second floor has 3/6 sashes, and the basement windows are 8/8 sashes. The entrances have 6-panel, part-glazed doors with fanlights. The exterior is finished with a frieze and cornice. The interior has not been inspected. Attached wrought-iron railings include spearhead designs with urn finials to the stanchions, likely supplied by Wheeler, and scroll and lozenge motifs on the porches, featuring scrolled openwork friezes. First-floor window guards have rods decorated with a star motif and lattice frieze, with a central panel of scrolled ornament.
