Description
No. 4 Old Bath Road is a house built around 1820 to 1850, with later additions and alterations. It features a stucco exterior over brick and a concealed roof, along with cast- and wrought-iron balconies. The building is three storeys high and has four first-floor windows. The stucco detailing includes a cornice and a blocking course with copings. All windows are 6/6 sashes set in plain reveals with sills. The entrance, located off-centre to the left, has a 20th-century door. The right side of the house has a canted bay with 1/1 sashes flanked by a casement window. The interior has not been inspected. The first-floor balconies are adorned with embellished rods, lattice friezes, and central scrolled panels. This house forms a group with Nos. 81-89 (odd) London Road.
