Description

No. 101 High Street is an early 18th-century house that was altered in the late 18th century. The building is finished in stucco and stands three storeys tall with two windows on the front. The second floor features double-hung sash windows set within surrounds that have sills. On the first floor, there are 19th-century French windows set in reveals. The ground floor has a segmental doorway with a half-glazed door. There is a window bay on the ground floor, and a 19th-century cast iron balcony and railing on the first floor. The second floor has a central dummy window, and the building is topped with a modillion cornice and a hipped roof covered in old tiles. Nos. 98 to 101 High Street form a group.
