Description
The Cock Pitt Café is a 15th-century building located on the east side of High Street. It features a timber frame with brick nogging on the ground floor and a first floor that oversails on brackets, showcasing exposed soffits. The structure is two storeys tall and has four three-light casement windows with late 17th or early 18th-century glazing bars. The ground floor includes four modern bays, and there are two small gables topped with an old tiled roof. An early 19th-century east wing has two doorways, one featuring a reeded door surround, both adorned with bracketed hoods. The building is part of a group with Nos 47 to 52 and No 52A.
