Description

This is a late 18th-century house, now operating as a doctor’s surgery. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and arranged symmetrically with four bays. Rusticated quoins mark the corners. The outer bays originally contained doorways, with the right-hand bay now containing a window. Between these bays are two windows, each with an architrave and moulded sill. The gables are coped with kneelers and chimney stacks. A gable return wall is visible on the right-hand side, facing the street. A mid-20th century shop window sits centrally, flanked by two doorways with raised, monolithic jambs. One first-floor window has an architrave.
