Description

This is a barn and workshop, initially dating back to the 18th century. A workshop was added in 1777 (marked "TLM") to the left bay of the barn. The building is constructed of rubble stone, brought to course, with a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and has quoins. A segmental-arched cart entry is centrally positioned, featuring an expressed keystone and portal with quoined angles. An owlhole is located above the cart entry. Set within the angle between the barn and workshop are doorways; one has a chamfered surround and a dated lintel. Arched ventilators are situated on either side of the cart entry. The workshop section (Number 99) has a segmental-arched entry on the left side, built with alternate raised and flush voussoirs, alongside an external stone staircase leading to a first-floor doorway with impost blocks. An opening under the staircase reveals another doorway, containing a six-panelled door. A 30-paned sash window is present on the first floor, with a raised surround. A stack is shared with the adjacent property, Number 101.
